The Life of a Spiritual Adventurer

The world has a way of presenting us with opportunities to transform ourselves from the predictable path we have been on.  For me, this opportunity first occurred when I retired early from my career as an engineer with my long-time employer of 25 years.  My path of spiritual study began in earnest about five years earlier and I remember clearly being excited about opening myself up to explore what God had in store for me after leaving my career.  When the answers did not quickly come to me, however, I became impatient and returned to the workforce for several more years.

I later tried again, this time clearly “done” with the corporate setting. I furthered my spiritual study and became comfortable with seeking established structure and programs to inch my way toward the new insights that I sought.  For a while that was enough.  Eventually, though, something new and original sparked within me.  I began to trust the guidance I was receiving from my spirit guides.  I had worked very earnestly to develop a relationship with my spirit guides.  It was a new muscle for me and it took consistent and persistent work to have the confidence and trust to surrender my need for control and open up to a new set of possibilities in my life.  I remember the moment I shifted from “following the rules” to freely exploring new ideas and trusting my guides.  It was liberating and I couldn’t get enough to it.  That led to the development of my energy method Attracting Joy, which I use with myself and clients addressing issues of all sorts.  Attracting Joy continues to unfold as my consciousness expands.

The next big personal growth transformation came when I was inspired to explore the concept of “touching infinity” and wrote my book Be Infinite.  Here, too, I felt an instantaneous need to dig deeply into this topic that fascinated me, even though the day before it wasn’t even on my radar.  This inquiry has persisted and evolved daily, dramatically and positively impacting my life by providing clarity on my life purpose and resulting in ever increasing spiritual harmony, creativity, and joy in my life.

I wonder how many other opportunities to transform presented themselves to me but I didn’t recognize them? My guides tell me there were three.  I am certain there are more to come and I hope I have the consciousness to recognize them when they happen.  So far, I am batting 500 over my lifetime, but 1000 in the past almost 20 years.  I’m liking my trend line.

What I know right now is that I am making progress at a pace that feels different than ever before. And it feels GOOD!   I am not done yet…  Let the spiritual adventures continue!
